Rescued
Alex Ramsey, deserted by her mother when she was seven, makes up for loss by rescuing abandoned animals and running a no-kill shelter in Cade's Point, Mississippi. Evan Whiting, a chef whose dream crumbled because of bad crab meat is starting over, relocating from the glamour of New York to the Mississippi Delta where he has inherited his great-aunt's house.
